Black seeds are also known as black cumin, kalongi and black sesame.

They are also known as seed of blessing.

Botanical Name:

Nigella Sativa belongs to family Ranunculaceae.

Prophet Muhammad ( sallalahu alayhi wa alyhi wasalam) said :

Black seeds has a cure for every illness except death.

A protective and healing power of black seed is amazing. It consider as a miracle cure for a thousand of diseases. Its oil is used in traditional medicines. The potency of nigella seeds is hot.

Nutrients in Black seeds:

It contain many important nutrients that our body need in daily activities. Per 100 gm of black seeds contain:

  1. Protein – 17 gm
  2. Fat – 22 gm
  3. Carbohydrate – 44 gm

It also contain trace elements such as Calcium, iron, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, magnesium, Vitamin A,C,E and K.
